Supported Documents
From PAN Cards to e-Passports
Pre-trained pipelines for the documents that show up most often in regulated onboarding flows — with the ability to add custom templates for proprietary forms.
Passport (MRZ + Chip)
OCR plus MRZ checksum validation. NFC chip read on supported mobile devices for the full e-passport biometric data block.
PAN Card
Field-level OCR plus structural anomaly flags. Cross-checks against PAN verification API in a chained call.
Aadhaar
OCR with built-in UIDAI-compliant masking of the first 8 digits in the captured image — safe by default.
Driving License
State-format aware. Extracts licence number, class, validity, issuing RTO, address block.
Voter ID (EPIC)
EPIC number, polling-booth details, demographic fields — with anomaly scoring on photo region tampering.
GST Certificate & Bank Statement
Business KYC documents — GSTIN, trade name, registered address; bank statement parsing for income evaluation.
Integrity Checks
Beyond Text Extraction
OCR tells you what the document says. Integrity checks tell you whether the document itself is real. Both matter — especially for cross-border KYC, bank account opening, and high-value loan origination.
Hologram Detection
Optical security-feature analysis. Detects whether the expected hologram pattern is present, oriented correctly, and undistorted.
MRZ Validation
Machine Readable Zone checksum verification per ICAO 9303 — catches forged passports where the visible data has been altered but the MRZ wasn't.
Tamper Evidence
Font anomalies, pixel-level manipulation, suspicious compression artefacts — the signs of digital editing made flaggable for human review.
RFID / NFC Chip Reading
For e-passports and e-NIC cards on capable mobile devices. Reads the chip's signed data block and verifies it against issuing country PKI.
UV / IR Feature Flags
For hardware-assisted flows where customer-facing terminals can illuminate the document under UV or IR — checks the response of security features only visible outside the visible spectrum.
CA-Grade Provenance
eMudhra's CA / PKI heritage is what underwrites the integrity layer — document signatures and chip data are verified against the same trust hierarchies we operate.
Where It's Used
Typical Deployment Patterns
Cross-Border KYC
Airports, embassies, immigration counters — chip-backed passport read plus OCR plus integrity in a single capture event.
Bank Account Opening
OCR feeds form auto-fill; integrity check gates risk decision; chip read used selectively for premium account categories.
Loan Origination
Tamper-evidence flag triggers manual review queue; full OCR feeds underwriting; statement parsing feeds income decisioning.
